Leaf Color or Leaf Fall -- Vegetation Change Documentation -- Emphasis Creativity and Data  (Individual but you could possibly compare with another person.  See your instructor for options.) Requirements: Find a spot where you are surrounded by trees but you can take photos at each point on the compass.  (N, S, E, W)  See your instructor to borrow a compass if you don’t own one. Mark the spot in some way so you will know EXACTLY where to return. On each of your 6 field study visits, take photos perfectly facing each of these directions at exactly the same height, zoom and angle (so the picture is facing exactly the same each time).  Be sure to label which pictu...

Field Study #6

 1) November 19, 2022 @ 1:30 P.M 2) Very windy, snowing, cloudy 3) It was 28 degrees 4) 9 hours and 37 minutes 5) We saw some deer prints in the snow, saw birds in the trees and heard them, saw squirrels running around, saw a hornets nest. 6) Since last time I noticed that there was a lot more snow, lot of branches where down on the ground, most of the trees lost almost if not all of their leaves.

  1) Date and time          - November 3, 2022 at 7 p.m 2) P resent climate conditions (rain, snow, wind, etc.)          - It was very windy, little bit of clouds, it was rainy earlier in the day. 3) Temperature         - 53 degrees 4) Length of Day          - 10 hours and 14 minutes 5) O rganisms smelled, felt, heard, or seen, etc          - Heard lots of crickets and frogs, saw some birds and a spider. 6) Changes noticed since last visit         - I noticed a lot of the leaves that where on the trees are now on the ground, noticed a lot little branches on the ground, probably from being so windy the last couple of days.

1) Date and time          - October 16, 2022 at 5:30 2) P resent climate conditions (rain, snow, wind, etc.) - Very windy, sunny, partly cloudy 3) Temperature          - 53 degrees 4) Length of Day          - 11 hours and 12 minutes 5) O rganisms smelled, felt, heard, or seen, etc          - Smelled almost like that wet woods and dirt smell since it rained the day before, heard lots of birds chirping and crickets, also saw some deer. 6) Changes noticed since last visit          - Noticed a lot more colorful leaves on the ground, lots of decaying wood, lots more mushrooms, lots of animal prints the trees had a lot more of colorful leaves to. 7) I wonder what is going on with the animal prints in the 1st picture below.

  Date and Time October 2, 2022 at 5:00 p.m Present Climate conditions Very sunny, little breeze,  Temperature 66 Degrees Length of day  11 hours, 41 minutes Organisms smelled, felt, heard, or seen, etc Saw lots of deer prints, saw both deer and bunny poop, heard some birds and crickets. Changes noticed since the last visit Saw a lot more colored leaves on the ground and saw more mushrooms than last time and saw that the leaves at the very top of the trees that’s in the sun are starting to turn red.
